Daphne Anneet, Esq.

Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP

Anneet is a partner in Burke, Williams & Sorensen's Los Angeles office. She is vice-chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group and is a member of the firm's Management Committee. Anneet defends public and private employers in a wide array of labor and employment matters involving claims of contingent worker misclassification, wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment and retaliation, unfair competition, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and other employment-related torts and liabilities. Anneet also defends clients in the areas of product liability, toxic tort, environmental, and business litigation.



Timothy Davis, Esq.

Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP

Davis is Chair of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group and a partner in the Education Law and Trial and Advocacy and Education Law Practice Groups. Davis has tried to verdict several employment cases in federal and state courts and conducted over 60 employment arbitrations. He routinely defends employers in litigation matters in actions involving state and federal law, including but not limited to Title VII, California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Americans with Disability Act, Age Discrimination and Employment Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, California Family Rights Act, California Pregnancy Disability Act, Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights, and wage and hour issues.




Veronica Gray, Esq.

Gray chairs Nossaman's Employment Practice Group. She advises employers on a broad spectrum of employment matters, including wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination and harassment, compliance audits, policies and procedures, employment agreements, trade secrets, and unfair competition. Gray is an accomplished trial attorney, strategist, and negotiator who leverages her more than three decades of experience to deliver effective, creative results and solutions. She is also a frequent trainer and speaker on employment-related matters.




Maria Gutierrez, Esq.

Carlton DiSante & Freudenberger, LLP

Gutierrez practices employment law in the Orange County Office of Carlton DiSante & Freudenberger, LLP. She advises employers on a wide variety of employment law issues and represents employers in litigation matters such as claims of violation of wage and hour law, wrongful termination, sexual and racial harassment, discrimination, and breach of contract. Her wage and hour law practice includes advising employers on and litigating such issues as pay deductions and docking, meal and rest periods, overtime pay, and classification of employees as exempt or non-exempt. A significant portion of Gutierrez's practice is dedicated to representing employers in putative wage and hour class actions.

In addition to litigation and preventive counseling, Innes effectively employs alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration, to efficiently and effectively resolve sensitive employment disputes.




Marc Jacuzzi, Esq.

Simpson, Garrity & Innes, PC

Jacuzzi has broad experience in employment law matters. He has represented numerous employers as defendants in civil rights actions (including claims under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and other state discrimination statutes), trade secret misappropriation claims, wage claims, and wrongful termination claims.




Kristine Kwong, Esq.

Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP

Kwong is a business and corporate transactions attorney with particular focus on labor and employment law. She represents both private and public sector employers in federal and state courts throughout California in counseling and litigation. Kwong advises and counsels clients on a wide range of business and employment issues, including wage and hour matters, non-compete and restrictive covenant agreements, executive compensation packages, the full range of disciplinary matters, discrimination, harassment, and leaves of absence.




Myron D. (Mike) Moye, Esq.

Hanson Bridgett, LLP

Moye specializes in litigation and counseling related to employment and labor law matters. He represents employers in employment disputes in state and federal court, arbitrations, administrative hearings and before government agencies. In addition, he provides preventive advice, counsel and training to employers on a variety of employment law issues, including union organizing activity and collective bargaining.




An Nguyen, Esq.

Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro, LLP

Nguyen is an associate in the firm's Labor & Employment department. She has also handled litigation matters, including product liability cases, Federal Employer Liability Act claims and passenger injury claims for various railroad clients, as well as claims against municipalities. While in law school, Nguyen clerked at the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission and the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. She was also part of the founding class of the Northern California Innocence Project, a wrongful conviction clinic at Santa Clara University, and its volunteer coordinator in Spring 2001.




Cristina K. Olivella, Esq.

Fox Rothschild, LLP

Olivella's practice focuses primarily on the representation of management in the defense of labor and employment matters, including claims regarding wage and hour laws, discrimination and harassment, and compliance with the National Labor Relations Act. She also has experience in health- and safety-related workplace issues, specifically Cal-OSHA matters. Prior to joining the firm, Olivella was associated with the Department of Homeland Security for Lockheed Martin Corporation. She handled Equal Employment Opportunity matters in the Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties of the Department of Homeland Security. During law school, Olivella was a litigation law clerk in the Office of Chief Counsel for the Transportation Security Administration.




Karl Schmidt, Esq.

Parker, Milliken, Clark, O'Hara & Samuelian, PC

Schmidt has practiced labor and employment law for over 30 years and currently is the Chair of the Labor & Employment Department at Parker, Milliken, Clark, O'Hara & Samuelian, PC. He specializes in the areas of employment, discrimination, wage and hour, labor, executive compensation, and unfair competition law advising foreign, national, and local employers of all sizes, including many small and medium-sized banking institutions. He also counsels executives and employers in executive employment, separation, and contract issues.
