The news on healthcare reform is changing daily. Now more than ever, you need to know the bottom line on how federal healthcare reform could affect your organization. You also need practical guidance on how to comply with recently enacted legislation that increases your burdens under several federal statutes, including COBRA, HIPAA, and ERISA.

Join us on March 18 for an in-depth, 90-minute interactive webinar on the latest developments from Capitol Hill and California lawmakers on healthcare reform.

Our experts - a California-based attorney and former investigator for the Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration, and an experienced employee benefits attorney - will explain the practical impact recent developments are having on benefit plans while giving you valuable insight on how to comply with new compliance deadlines regarding employer-sponsored health and welfare benefit plans. You'll learn:

  • The current status of federal healthcare reform measures
  • How reform measures could affect your employee benefits plans
  • New HIPAA requirements under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
  • Your obligations following the extension of the COBRA premium subsidy
  • ERISA-based compliance obstacles and deadlines for 2010
  • Best practices for complying with the recently enacted Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, Michelle's Law, the Mental Health Parity law, wellness program requirements, and the Family and Medical Leave Act
